Let me tell you my story, what I'm thankful for and got me here... When I was 25, I woke up one day and noticed floaters in both eyes, which is literally like seeing blobs of blood. So I immediately saw an Ophthalmologist and was diagnosed with Diabetes Retinopathy (damaged blood vessels). 

Thankfully, I received the laser surgery treatment in both eyes to repair my weak leaking blood vessels, and to prevent the possibility of future blindness. Ten years of out of control blood glucose levels, led me to this complication from diabetes. This was frightening news and a wake-up call…facing that I may go blind if my blood sugars didn’t improve… I quickly got on board with a plan to better manage my disease. 

These are some of the EXACT habits that I implemented after my health scare. Within a few years, I had much better blood sugar control and, thankfully, my eye vessels had stabilized. I was informed about what I was putting in my body and how it affected my blood sugar levels, which allowed me to live confidently and happily. You can do it too!
